William Priest Joins MMR’s West Coast Expansion
William (Bill) Priest has recently joined MMR Research Associates as Vice President – Client Relationships. He brings with him more than 25 years of research experience in categories ranging from healthcare to casual dining, and furthers the planned geographic expansion of MMR.
Prior to joining MMR, William most recently was VP/Account Director at M/A/R/C Research which was also his first employer, starting out as a data analyst for M/A/R/C in his first job out of college. Along with broad category experience, he has a wide spectrum of methodological experience, including forecasting the success of new products, modeling the drivers of loyalty and defection, measuring brand equity and calculating brand opportunity.
“William is an accomplished research professional who brings a terrific blend of category and methodology expertise to MMR as we continue to expand our client services,” said Managing Partner Bill Denk. “His broad skill set and rapport with clients will be a valuable asset to MMR and the clients we serve.”
William’s category experience includes healthcare, health insurance, property and casualty insurance; quick service and casual dining restaurants; as well as retail, agri-business, pet care and more. A graduate of the University of Georgia’s Master of Market Research (MMR) program, his “ground up” immersion in marketing research has fostered a well-rounded and consultative approach to the business. This experience and career immersion will support his new responsibilities which include both development of new and existing clients, and overseeing research design, execution and analysis.
“My approach to research is to gain a clear understanding of the business purpose behind every research objective, and then craft the most appropriate and efficient solution,” explained William. “I can do this even more effectively at MMR because it is so central to the mindset here, always maintaining a focus on the decision we are trying to inform. ”
On a personal level, William and his wife, Lola, are avid about the great outdoors and love snow skiing and hiking with their trail dog Lexi. They are actively involved in their beloved community of Santa Fe.
