What data do we collect? 

  • Survey data:  questionnaire/survey responses and general feedback may include questions concerning race/ethnicity, marital status, employment status, occupation, sexual orientation and identity, political affiliation, union membership, and health conditions 

  • Identity information:  name(s), year of birth 

  • Contact information:  physical address, email address, or telephone number 

  • Financial Information: income range, financial products owned and through which company 

  • Marketing/communication information:  newsletter and promotional information preferences 

 

What data do we not collect/share? 

  • MMR will never ask for account numbers, login information, or passwords and does not/ cannot receive this type of information from 3rd parties 

  • No personal information is shared with third parties for the purposes of marketing or sales 

 

How do we collect information? 

  • Data is collected through voluntary survey research surveys, 

  • Opt-in requests for information concerning MMR Research Associates through our website or conference attendance

How do we use personal data? 

  • No third party can contact individuals without expressed, verifiable consent from the person whose data is collected.   

  • Use of Personal Data for Survey Research: 

  • To contact individuals who opt-in for project-specific follow-up surveys 

  • To send Invitations to MMR Business to Business Surveys 

  • To process and send survey incentives.  MMR shares email address only with services like Amazon, Starbucks, or other retailers in order to fulfill payments for research participation 

  • Information provided by individuals is not associated with name, identity, or contact information.   

  • Anonymized raw data may be shared with our client company; including demographic information if the individual provides it 

  • Quotes from typed responses may be used along with aggregated demographic information in reports and raw data set 

  • Functionality cookies that allow MMR to operate the site in accordance with the choices visitors make.  These may contain user name and site preferences.   

 

Your Choices and Control Over Your Data 

We provide you the ability to exercise certain controls and choices regarding our collection, use, and sharing of your information.  In accordance with applicable law, your controls and choices may include: 

  • Choosing or changing your choices for newsletters or alerts 

  • Requesting removal of your personal information from our servers in a time period less than our standard retention period of 90 days or less.   

  • Requesting access to the personal information we hold about you and that we amend or delete it.

Children’s Privacy 

We recognize the need to provide further privacy protections with respect to personal information we may collect from those under the Age of Majority or 18, whichever is higher.  MMR Research does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.   

Data Security, Integrity, and Retention 

Data is stored on MMR’s servers in the USA.  The security, integrity, and confidentiality of your information are extremely important to us.  We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures that are designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, and modification.  We regularly review our security procedures to consider appropriate new technology and methods.  Please be aware that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

DATA TRANSFERS, STORAGE, AND PROCESSING GLOBALLY 

We will not transfer your personal information to third parties except for the purposes described in this privacy policy.  Wherever your personal information is transferred, stored or processed by us, we will take reasonable steps to safeguard the privacy of your personal information.  These steps may include implementing standard contractual clauses where recognized by law, obtaining your consent, or other lawful means of transferring personal information.
